How to Grab a HUD Home at a Government Auction!

Posted on April 2nd, 2009 by Lindsey Harper

cute hud house How to Grab a HUD Home at a Government Auction!

Hello!  It’s Lindsey here, and I’d like to show you how you can find a HUD home for sale at a government auction.  You’ll find that’s there’s lots of homes to choose from.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development or HUD is a government agency that has a commitment to providing cheap homes to Americans and enforces the Fair Housing Act of 1968.

HUD housing comes about due to an owner failing to pay on a FHA-insured mortgage.  The homes are made available to the public at low cost.  Lots of people benefit from a HUD home for sale, especially those in need.  For example, people who have been the victims of natural disaster benefit from HUD homes.  When buying a HUD home you may qualify for a FHA loan.

For example, I found this HUD home for sale in Dover, Delaware at 106 Spruance Road.  The home was built in 1999 and has two bedrooms and one bathroom.  It’s being offered for $68,000.  As with many HUD homes, the house is in need of repairs, but the price of the home is a great starting point.  HUD homes are sold “as is,” so be sure to check on the details of the home to determine what you’re willing to work with.

A government auction can also be an auction of vehicles or other stuff, like computers.  Government Auction Network provides that information as well.

What is a government foreclosure?  When homeowner’s fail to pay on their mortgages, their homes will go into foreclosure.  If they have obtained the home loan through a federal organization, such as HUD or VA, or if they have received such a loan from Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae, for example, the foreclosure is called a government foreclosure.   The goal is for the government to find new buyers fast. Therefore, the costs for these homes are often quite low in order for a fast sale.

condo 3 17 09 Foreclosure Real Estate: Your Chance to Grab an Affordable Condo!

Hello!  Lindsey’s back!  We all know that a family looking for a place to live often looks for a single family home.  Many families consider a single family home to be ideal.

But what about a condo for sale?  There are many advantages to living in a condo, too.  For one thing, a condo does not require the same amount of upkeep as a single family home.  No roof to fix.  No lawn to mow.  Many people prefer the convenience. Another thing that’s great about a condo is that it is good for socializing since you are living in a building with lots of other people.  Living in a condo can be an enjoyable experience.

If you’re in the market for a condo, have you considered US government foreclosures?  Homes that are financed through federal agencies, and then go into foreclosure, mean terrific savings to you!

For example, check out this great deal I’ve found!  This condo for sale, at 3139 Hurley Street in Philadelphia, is a mere $14,500!   It is 952 square feet with three bedrooms.  The condo is in a very walkable area to the grocery store, restaurants and more.

Did you know that government foreclosure property is super easy to find with the help of Government Auction Network?  Just click on the link below!

Hey everyone!

anderson county 300x224 Anderson County Home Deal

Although the weather in South Carolina is always rather hot, now that it’s slowly reaching November the brutal summer heat is finally calming down at least a little! I was actually able to go for a nice walk today without feeling like I was about to melt. Anyway, enough about the weather…it’s time for me to tell you about the Deal of the Day. I thought I’d start off today by giving you an example of a great home deal you can find in my beautiful state of South Carolina.
Take a look at this home that sold for only $16,000…

Anderson County Home Deal

This cute little house is located in Anderson County, South Carolina. Built in 1940, it includes 1,248 square feet and 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. Personally, I really love property with trees…which is why I think this one is particularly good. Although this home has actually already sold, there are many other homes that represent amazing deals such as this one. It’s not often that you can find a home for only $16,000. In my mind, this government auction represents a truly great deal!
