Excellent Home for Sale in Iowa!

Posted on May 4th, 2009 by Lindsey Harper

iowa home 300x200 Excellent Home for Sale in Iowa!

There’s a great way to find a home for sale in Iowa - and that’s by checking out government foreclosures.  These are homes that have been financed through government programs such as HUD ( United States Department of Housing and Urban Development) or VA (United States Department of Veteran Affairs), among others.

When the owners of these homes fail to pay on these loans, the government takes the homes back, and they are re-sold to the public.  Foreclosure homes offer some of the best deals on homes for an investment or to live in.  The goal of the government is to get rid of these homes fast; therefore, the costs of these homes are often incredibly low.

I found this excellent home for sale in Iowa.  This is a two story, 1889 square foot home.  It features a large front porch, big living room, dining room, three big bedrooms and a two car detached garage.  You can get all of this for a mere $39,900!

Buy this Historic Home for Sale in Louisiana!

new orleans Buy this Historic Home for Sale in Louisiana!

If you’ve been to New Orleans, perhaps you’ve been to the Marigny, which is located very close to the French Quarter.  I’ve been to the Marigny many times, and I am always struck by the beautiful, historic “shotgun” homes that can be found.  “Shotguns are to New Orleans what brownstones are to New York, rowhouses to Philadelphia, single houses to Charleston and bungalows to Chicago.” (New Orleans’ Favorite Shotguns)  These homes first came about in the 1800’s, and you can own one of these homes for an affordable price.

For example, one of the Louisana homes I found is this beautiful shotgun for less than $60,000 , as a result of one of the  government foreclosures.  It is located on 12353 7 Elysian Fields Ave.  Elysian Fields is a famous street in New Orleans named after the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris.  Whenever I walk down this street, or other streets in the Marigny or the French Quarter, I want to take my camera out and take lots of photos of the beautiful architecture.  These homes truly are some of my favorites.

This historic home for sale in Louisiana includes three bedrooms and two baths.  The property is located in the quiet Marigny area, but is close enough to the French Quarter to walk to it.  These areas were hit by the hurricane, but were not heavily damaged by it. Since the hurricane, much work as gone into the areas to restore them.

Lots of government foreclosures in Louisiana can be found at the listings at Government Auction Network.  You’ll find bank foreclosures and also local real estate auctions for Louisana homes, as well.  This is a great place for you to save money on real estate to live in or for an investment opportunity.

texas home Save Big on a Home for Sale in Texas!

Today, in America, bank foreclosures are common.  That’s bad news for those who failed to pay on their mortgages or who failed to pay their taxes, but its good news for you.  The price tag on this type of property is often very low.  This is indeed a buyer’s market, and now is the time for you to save big.

Hello!  It’s Lindsey Harper here to show you this large home for sale in Texas that I’ve found.  It is being sold for the incredible low price of just $112,900.  That’s quite a deal!  The home is located in Desoto, Texas.

Bank Foreclosures Desoto Texas Home

Banks will seize properties where the owner has failed to pay.  Then the properties are typically re-sold at public auction, sometimes at as much as fifty percent less!

However, the low price is not the only way to benefit with TX homes.  Homes that are in bank foreclosures are often in good condition, because the only reason they are being sold is due to the owner’s failing to pay.  In other cases, because the price tag is so low, putting work into the home is cost effective in the long run.

Don’t search around for TX homes in bank foreclosures.  Instead, go to Government Auction Network.  They’ve already done all of the homework, so all you have to do is plug in your details. You simply indicate what location you’re looking for, what price you’re looking for, etc., and wait for the results.

Government Auction Network lists lots of bank foreclosures.  However, that’s just one category that they list.  You’ll save money in many other ways as well.  You’ll want to search the site for cars, boats, jewelry, furniture, cameras, computers and more.

How to Grab a HUD Home at a Government Auction!

cute hud house How to Grab a HUD Home at a Government Auction!

Hello!  It’s Lindsey here, and I’d like to show you how you can find a HUD home for sale at a government auction.  You’ll find that’s there’s lots of homes to choose from.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development or HUD is a government agency that has a commitment to providing cheap homes to Americans and enforces the Fair Housing Act of 1968.

HUD housing comes about due to an owner failing to pay on a FHA-insured mortgage.  The homes are made available to the public at low cost.  Lots of people benefit from a HUD home for sale, especially those in need.  For example, people who have been the victims of natural disaster benefit from HUD homes.  When buying a HUD home you may qualify for a FHA loan.

For example, I found this HUD home for sale in Dover, Delaware at 106 Spruance Road.  The home was built in 1999 and has two bedrooms and one bathroom.  It’s being offered for $68,000.  As with many HUD homes, the house is in need of repairs, but the price of the home is a great starting point.  HUD homes are sold “as is,” so be sure to check on the details of the home to determine what you’re willing to work with.
